SVCIT Invited to Speak at the BRICS TVET Cooperation Alliance Research Seminar
Recently, the 2026 BRICS TVET Cooperation Alliance Research Seminar was held in New Delhi, India. Centered on the theme “Sustainable and Digitally Empowered Technical and Vocational Education and Training: A BRICS Perspective”, the seminar was hosted by India’s National Skill Development Corporation, the rotating BRICS presidency. Deputy ministerial-level officials from India’s Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs attended and delivered addresses. Representatives from government authorities, vocational colleges, industry associations and relevant international organizations of BRICS members including Brazil, Russia, India, China, Iran and the United Arab Emirates participated in the seminar via hybrid online-offline formats.
Invited by the China Education Association for International Exchange, Tang Miaorong, person-in-charge of the International Cooperation Office, delivered a speech on behalf of the Chinese side. Focusing on “Digital Transformation and Empowerment of Technical and Vocational Education and Training via Artificial Intelligence (AI), Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) Technologies”, Tang shared the College’s practical experience in digital transformation, teaching innovation enabled by AI, development of virtual simulation training bases, and advancement of international cooperation in vocational education.
As a key annual institutional event of the BRICS TVET Cooperation Alliance, the seminar has been successively hosted by China, South Africa, Russia, Brazil and India for five consecutive years. It has evolved into a high-level multilateral dialogue platform under the BRICS framework for vocational education policy communication, experience exchange and pragmatic project cooperation. The successful convening of this seminar marks another major practice of the Alliance in promoting joint development and shared benefits among BRICS nations, scaling up digital development, and deepening international integration of industry and vocational education. It injects new momentum into building a new landscape of vocational education cooperation for the expanded BRICS bloc in the future.
Going forward, the College will continue to advance relevant work for the BRICS TVET Cooperation Alliance and support high-quality development of vocational education across BRICS countries.
